William Stephan Kathcart Jr.

Harrisville - William Stephan Kathcart Jr., 83, died June 1, 2010. He was born June 24, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA the son of Kathryn Elizabeth Woodworth and William Stephan Kathcart Sr. He married Mary Elizabeth Makosi May 26, 1947; she passed away in 2007.

William served in the Navy and the Merchant Marines during WWII, Korea and Vietnam, and was a recipient of the Navy Cross and many other awards.

He was a member of the Catholic Church. One of his favorite past times was fishing.

He is survived by his children, Randy Kathcart, Mary Alice (John) Beluis, Stephanie Neukum, William Kathcart III, JoAnn (Fred) Crane, Debra (John) Bills and Cindy Kathcart; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents and brothers Kenneth and Edward Kathcart.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday June 5, 2010 at Myers Mortuary of Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. Friends may call on Friday, June 4th at Myers Mortuary from 6 to 8 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m.
