W. EARL OLSEN

BRIGHAM CITY - William Earl Olsen, 75, passed away Friday, April 20, 2001 at the Brigham City Hospital.
Earl was born April 19, 1926 in Richmond, Utah a son of William Alburn and Alice Vincey Twitchell Olsen.
He married Renee Balls in the Logan Temple June 11, 1947.
Earl served in WWII in the Navy.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he served as Elders
Quorum President, in the Bishopric, and various other positions. Earl was a temple worker at the Ogden Temple for 10 years. He was active in Scouting , he served as a Scout Master and he received the Silver Beaver Award.
He worked at Hill Airforce Base for 38 years.
Earl enjoyed gardening and camping. He had a great love for the outdoors. He was Santa for over 30 years.
Surviving are his loving wife; Renee, Brigham City, their children; RoLayne (Darrel) Moss, Honeyville;
Nadine (Chris) Wight; Jodie Olsen; Cleon (Christie) Olsen all of Brigham City, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, sisters; Aleen Smith, Lewiston; Rita Mae (Sherman) Olsen, Roy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City 3rd & 15th Ward Chapel, 203 North 200 West, Brigham City. Friends may call Monday, April 23, 2001 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday 9:30 to 10:30 at Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham.

Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by VFW 1695.
