William Gene Raymond

William G. "Bill" Raymond, "Wild Bill" - "Sweet William"

Bill returned to his heavenly father peacefully surrounded by his family on January 29, 2016. Bill was born on April 20, 1934 to William J. and Hazel Wilson Raymond in Ogden.

On February 1, 1974 he married his love, Luella Fernandez, in Ogden. Together, they had one son, Billy Jr.

Bill had a great love for the Lord. He attended Christian Worship Center and New Life Northview.

Bill retired from Hill Air Force Base after 35 years of service. He spent many years chariot racing. He then became a big spectator, enjoying his one dollar bets with family and friends. He loved spending time at Bear Lake and relaxing and visiting with neighbors.

Bill Loved all of his grandchildren with all of his heart. In later years, he had a special bond with his three granddaughters; Kayla, Whitney, and Nicole. He loved teasing them and telling them stories about his life's adventures, and of course spoiling them. He will be missed by all.

Bill is survived by his wife; his son, Billy (Michelle) Raymond; his 5 daughters; Janica Wolford, Lori Bell, Tammy Ross, Jeanie Raymond, and Stacie Hartley; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Kaye, one grandson, Dustin, and a special brother-in-law, Eddie.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers and prior to services on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30.

The family would like to thank Hospice for Utah, especially Morgan, Brittany, Debbie, and Stephanie for their special care.
