BRIGHAM CITY- William Charles Robinson, passed away of natural causes on November 23, 2002 in his home in Brigham City, Utah surrounded by his family. Charles was born August 20, 1914 in Huntington, West Virginia to William A. and Alta Robinson. He married his high school sweetheart, Donna McGinnis June 30, 1938. He had three sons; Charles (Kris) Seattle, Washington; Robert (Donnajean) Imperial Beach, California; Scott (Cindy) Salt Lake City, Utah. Brothers Randall and Carl (Dorreen) and sister Matilda all from Huntington, West Virginia, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren survive Charles. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Lee, Daughter Bonnie Sue and wife Donna.
He attended school Huntington, West Virginia until the untimely death of his father during the eight grade at which time he went to work to support his mother, brothers and sisters. He later served his apprenticeship at the Nickel plant completing it in 1943 becoming a machinist.
Dad and Mom moved to Pocatello, Idaho in 1945 where he worked for Union Pacific Railroad and Naval Gun Plant. He also worked for the Atomic Energy in
Arco, Idaho. He worked for Thiokol Chemical Corporation from 1959 to 1984, which he thoroughly enjoyed. They raised their family in Blackfoot, Idaho until 1961, when they moved to Brigham City, Utah. Mom found her dream house in Brigham City and dad gave all his support so she could have the house. He loved living in the house and was very proud of it.
Charles and Donna celebrated their sixty-third Wedding Anniversary in 2001. Charles and Donna demonstrated their love for each other every day and were great role models for their children. Dad worked very hard and sacrificed many things to take care of his family. He showed us all the value of hard work and what family means.
Dad was dedicated 32 degree KCCH of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. He was primarily responsible for the establishment of three DeMolay Chapters, in Blackfoot, Brigham City, and Logan that touched the lives of numerous young men.
The family wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dad's angel on earth JoAnn Burnett and her husband Dave. Our special thanks to the loving care provided by Dr. Lynn Beard and the nurses and staff of the Utah Heritage Hospice . Their care truly gave Dad a great quality of life.
