William E. Silver

Ogden, Utah. Our loving husband, exceptional father, grandfather and great-grandfather, William "Bill" Silver, passed away on August 18, 2015 to return to be with his son, Gary. He was born May 11, 1932 in El Paso, Texas to William Eugene Silver Sr and Lucille Henrietta Slater. He married Bobra E Bridges in 1952 and they were later divorced. Bobra has been a wonderful caregiver for the past 10 years.

He graduated from UTEP with his Master's degree in engineering. He was a math instructor at Fort Bliss, Texas. He was highly respected in his professional career at El Paso Natural Gas and retired from Williams Co.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping and coaching his son, Gary, and his friends in baseball where he was a great mentor and inspirational role model. He enjoyed collecting historical books about the southwest. He cherished his two daughters, Gail & Karen.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Bobra; two daughters, Gail Silver and Karen Degn; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son, Gary A Silver.

Bill will be deeply missed and will leave a void in our hearts.
