William Howard Thompson

OGDEN - William Howard Thompson passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at Infinia Health Care surrounded by his family.

He was born September 19, 1921 in New York City, NY, the son of Harry Howard and Susan Creamer Thompson.

He graduated from USC with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa.

He served in the U.S. Army in Alaska during WWII.

He married his beautiful wife, Marianne DuBois on June 4, 1954 in Long Beach, CA. They raised three sons together.

He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He loved to play golf and was good at it. He enjoyed playing bridge, doing woodworking and gardening, as well as spending time with his family.

He lived in Ogden for 19 years and prior to that in Los Alamitos, CA.

He is survived by his wife, Marianne; three sons, William Roch Thompson, North Ogden; Matthew Kirk Thompson, Sr., Anaheim, CA; Mark Patrick Thompson, New York City, NY; one grandson, Matthew Kirk Thompson, Jr., Anaheim, CA; one sister, Emma Lou Hook, Folsom, CA and one sister-in-law, Patricia (Roger) Clements, North Ogden.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 495 N. Harrison Blvd., Ogden. Friends may call on Tuesday, December 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden. Cremation to follow the service and memorial services will be held at a later date in California.
