Wilma J. Maynard

ROY - Wilma J. Maynard, 67, has found peace and rest and has joined our Heavenly Father on September 2, 2013. Wilma was a proud daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was born December 15, 1945 in Ogden, Utah to Victor Orval Ford and Harriet Lillian Fisher.

Wilma met her husband Daniel Maynard who gave her three beautiful children that filled her life with joy and happiness. They later divorced.

She served a long and fulfilling career with the Department of Defense as a civilian employee who, through her hard work, gained rank. She started working at IRS and ended her career at HAFB with the missiles program.

From a young child, Wilma enjoyed traveling and that continued throughout her life. She enjoyed seeing the great outdoors. She loved her independence and you could find her always out looking for her next adventure either camping with T-Bone, reading, or watching "Walker, Texas Ranger".

She is survived by her children; David T.(Sherrie Holden) Maynard, Dawn L. Maynard (Carl F.) Moser, Christy L. Maynard (John A.) Michaels, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings, Fred "Skipper" Ford, Linda K. Meredith, Kathryn Olsen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Helen Eberly, Lois Potter, Ruth Darlene "Mickey" Shelton, Donald Ford, Leroy Ford.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, South Ogden, Utah.
