Wren Adams Roueche'
January 28, 1925 - October 13, 2011
In memory of our loving father and grandfather. Wren, 86, lost his courageous battle with melanoma cancer October 13, 2011 surrounded by his family as he prepared to return to his Heavenly Father.
Wren was born on January 28, 1925 to Hollis Webb and Vida Adams Roueche' in Layton. He attended North Davis Jr. High in Clearfield and graduated from Davis High School in Kaysville.
Wren married Mura Ann Wiley on August 14, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had four children and were married for 63 years. Mura Ann passed away March 31, 2010.
Wren was drafted and served in the US Army in World War II. He was honored in 2010 as a hometown hero at the Layton City Ceremony and Parade. As a boy he helped his mother deliver newspapers in Layton and Syracuse. After serving his country he worked at Hill Air Force Base as a supervisor. He retired after 35 years of service.
Wren and Mura Ann traveled in their RV. They spent summers at Flaming Gorge where they loved boating and fishing. They spent their winters in Bradenton, FL where they enjoyed the warm weather and friends. After Mura Ann's health failed they sold their vacation properties and spent precious time at their home.
Surviving are his children, RaNae (Michael) Barnes of Salt Lake City, Randy Roueche' of Layton, Robyn (Michael) Larsen of Clearfield, and Rodney Roueche' of Layton; eleven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren with one on the way. Sister in law, Donna Roueche', five nieces, Betty Ann, Karen, Connie, Judy and Linda; one nephew, Bart.
Preceding him in death is his wife, Mura Ann; parents, Hollis and Vida; brother, Darrell and one infant granddaughter.
The family would like to thank Rocky Mountain Hospice for their loving care. Also, special friend, Jodi for helping the family with Wren's care.
