Roy, Utah

Yolanda “Lai, Tita Mommy, Lala, Lalie” Cristobal stepped from this life into the arms of Jesus on December 11, 2025, just days before her 63rd birthday. Born on December 16, 1962, in Las Piñas City, Metro Manila, Philippines, she spent the last 28 years building a warm and welcoming home in Roy, Utah, where her life and love left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.

Lalie was the kind of person who lit up any room she walked into. Her laugh was contagious, her hugs were healing, and her presence made people feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. She carried a joyful, vibrant spirit that reflected the heart of Christ, whether she was serving in church, gathered around the table with family, or spending time with those who simply needed a friend.

She was a devoted wife and faithful partner to her husband, Eduardo Cristobal, whom she married on April 21, 1986. Together, they built a life marked by love, sacrifice, and shared faith. As a teacher at Hill AFB Child Development Center, Lalie helped shape the lives of countless children, earning the Teacher of the Year Award and, more importantly, the love and trust of many families.

After her retirement in 2015, Lalie didn’t slow down—she simply poured her energy into what she loved most. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, laughing and connecting with family and friends, and making memories with “The Bellas.” Her cooking was more than food; it was one of the ways she loved people best. Her grandchildren especially knew the joy of being spoiled by her delicious meals and her undivided attention.

She leaves behind a family who will forever carry her in their hearts: her devoted husband, Eduardo; her son, Darryll Cristobal, and his wife, Chelcie, along with her adored grandsons, Liam and Greyson Cristobal; and her daughter, Precious Saucedo, and her husband, Sam, together with her beloved grandchildren, Lilliana and Ezekiel Saucedo. She is also survived by her siblings, Rudolfo De Leon, Eveline Ditan, Pepito De Leon, Eduardo De Leon, and Precy Degala, as well as her brothers‑ and sisters‑in‑law, and many nieces and nephews who were each loved by name.

Today, Lalie is reunited in the presence of her Savior with those who went before her in faith: her parents, Emilliano and Paciencia De Leon; her siblings, Rolando De Leon, Magdalena Oliveros, and Fred De Leon; and her in‑laws, Elena and Segundo Cristobal. While there is real grief in her absence, there is even greater hope in knowing this goodbye is not the end of her story.

Scripture declares in 1 Corinthians 15:54–55, “When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: ‘Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?’” Lalie lived with this kind of resurrection hope, and even in her passing, her life continues to preach that Christ’s victory is real, and death does not get the final word.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary – Roy, 5865 S. 1900 W., Roy, Utah, 84067.
