Yuvonne Alvey Nixdorf Obituary (1934 - 2007)

Yuvonne Alvey Nixdorf "She never met a kid she didn't love" NORTH OGDEN - Yuvonne Alvey Nixdorf, 73, died December 30, 2007. She was born November 21 1934 in Escalente, Utah the daughter of George Mazle and Rita Mae Behunin Alvey. She graduated from Nampa High School and BYU University. She married James Nixdorf November 21, 1956 in the Salt Lake City Temple. She taught in the Newberry, CA school system; also at the No. Ogden, Green Acres, Edison and Dee Elementary Schools. She was a member of UEA and Retired School Teachers Assn. She was also a member of the Kiora Club. Yuvonne was a member of the LDS North Ogden Seventh Ward. She is survived by her husband James; daughters Diana Sykes (Gary), Portsmouth, RI, Karen Nixdorf (Dean Stringham), Bountiful; brother Leon Alvey, Santa Rosa, CA; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; her face was lit the brightest when she was with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Maureen.
