OGDEN- Zachary Joseph Smith returned to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on August 3, 2007 following a short illness. Zack was born March 15, 1986 in Ogden to Janene Holliday Smith and David Joey Smith.

Everyone who knew Zack loved him and anyone who didn't love him didn't know him very well. Everyone said he was like a big lovable Teddy Bear.
He had many friends and cousins who he loved to hang out with. Many fun hours have been spent playing games together. Zack was happiest when he was playing with and taking care of his young cousin's, they referred to him as "My Jack" because so many couldn't say 'Z'ack.

Zack had a very special gift for working with disabled persons (especially his buddy Brian) and the youth who he loved and who loved him.

Zack was the man of his family and he took very good care of his mom and his sister Jessie. He enjoyed going to the movies with his dad, grandpa, and brother Jake.

He will be sorely missed by all but we know he is having a great reunion with his cousin Megan, who was like a sister to him, and his Grandpa and Grandma Holliday.

He is survived by his parents Janene Smith and David and Kim Smith. brother and sisters, Jessica, Jacob, and Hayley. His cousins / brothers Matt, Chris, Ryan and Trevor who were raised together with Zack and Jessie as one big family. His, second mom Aunt Janna. Grandparents Joseph D. and Dorothy Smith and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made at Mountain America Credit Union in Zack's name to help with medical expenses.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Lewis 1st ward Chapel, 435 North Jackson Ave. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. and on Wednesday 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. at the church.
