ZOIE CATHERINE BYBEE

ROY -- Our 3-year-old angel, Zoie, returned home to her Heavenly Father, April 10, 2003. She was a valiant, young spirit who courageously fought many battles through her short life.

Zoie was born September 25, 1999, 100 days earlier than expected to Mark Allen and Lisa Dawn Adams Bybee, along with her identical twin sister Zara Elizabeth. She was born 1 lb, 9 oz. and 12 inches long. The doctor who delivered her called her a "blessed baby," according to Indian tradition, because it was very rare to be delivered in her sack completely in tact. Zoie was a giver from before she was born, as she gave all to her sister Zara. During the first 24 hours of her life the nurses were constantly amazed at her fight for life to keep her body. Though her life may have been short, and she wasn't able to talk or walk, she touched hundreds of lives with her smile and the twinkle in her eyes.

Zoie is survived and deeply loved by her parents, her brother Brock, and her 10 sisters, Micah (Ron) Klepzig, Ogden; Kimberly (Nathan) Young, SLC; Laura (Daniel) Hoover, Roy; Amy, Ogden; Danielle, Jade, Jazmin, Zara (twin); grandparents, many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her oldest sister Genesee VaLois Bybee, Monica Lee Bybee and Uncle Delvan Bybee.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Dr. Donna Barhorst, IHC Pediatrics and all the nurses and doctors at McKay Dee Hospital, as well as "Teacher Barbara" and all of her staff at the Weber County Preschool at Roy Elementary, for lovingly and gently caring for Zoie.

Zoie, you are free now, run and sing with the angels.
