William "Will" Charlesworth Obituary

On April 23, 2024 we lost one of the good guys when William Braydon Charlesworth (29), of Roy, Utah, pushed ALL-IN and suffered a bad beat in his final hand during his difficult and hard-fought battle against cancer.

Will was born in Ogden, Utah, January 7, 1995 to Karen Norris and Jeremy “Chuck” Charlesworth. He lived in Harrisville, Utah until the age of 10 and then moved to

Belgrade, Montana. He attended Belgrade High School through his Freshman year before moving back to Utah where he graduated from Fremont High School in 2013. He started working for Wayfair as a Business Account Manager in 2016 and continued to work for them throughout his fight.

He brought a lot of joy to his grandparents, many aunts and uncles, his parents, and their families, and all of their friends. He was a happy loving baby, so cute and so good natured which made him a joy to be around, and this continued throughout his life.

He grew into a responsible, caring man who was self-less and always so generous with his time, money, and possessions. These traits along with his warm personality made it easy for people to be around him, evident by his many friends and family members who all surrounded him, especially during his most trying final months.

At a young age Will learned to play poker with his dad and by the time he was 5 years old he was beating his dad, his uncles and all their friends. He won his first big home tournament when he was 10, to the astonishment of all who played against him, and he continued to win many tournaments through his life. He also really enjoyed videos games, from a kid to an adult, which provided a great escape for him. Will was always willing to try new things, from D&D to Bull riding and everything in between, he would put his all into anything he was doing. He was an avid softball player, playing in many leagues and tournaments in the area. Most of all he was an amazing father, son, brother, family member, friend, and person. Words cannot express the person that he truly was or describe the impact that he had on those who were lucky enough to know him briefly and to those who knew him his whole life.

He is survived by his son; Karson Jeremy Charlesworth, who he loved deeply and was the reason he fought so hard; parents Karen Norris, Jeremy “Chuck” and Rebecca

Charlesworth; siblings Hannah Norris, Caden Morvel, Arianna Hillan, Breanna Hillan, Maxwell Norris, Joiee Farris, Wyatt Charlesworth, Benjamin Charlesworth, and Andrew Charlesworth; grandparents Roy and Ilene Norris, Robert and Sandra Price, Kenneth and Salee Charlesworth, Arthorn and Phyllis Vudhivadhana; his cherished pets Spiro, Echo, and Korra; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family members, friends.

Our family would like to express its extreme gratitude to Will’s employer and team members at Wayfair for their continued support and assistance throughout Wills battle with cancer. He truly enjoyed working there. We would also like to thank Dr. Richard Cannon, his nurse Erin, Dr. Jeffrey Russell, and the staff at Huntsman Cancer Institute, and Dr. Eric Johnson, Dr. Jaden Evans, and the staff at Intermountain Cancer Center of McKay for their amazing care and support not only for Will but our family as well. A special thanks to the Golden Spikes Elks #719 of Roy, Utah for their fund raising efforts and continued support.
